Schiff's Statement on Israel
Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA) released the following statement today regarding the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas:
"I strongly support Israel's right to self-defense against the terrorist attacks it has recently endured," Schiff said. "The United States stands with Israel during this difficult time, and we will continue to provide the necessary assistance to ensure its security."
Schiff also expressed concern about the civilian casualties that have resulted from the conflict. "It is imperative that both sides take all possible measures to protect civilians," he said. "The loss of innocent life is always a tragedy, and we must do everything we can to prevent further bloodshed."
Schiff concluded his statement by calling for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. "I urge all parties to work towards a ceasefire and a return to negotiations," he said. "The only way to achieve a lasting peace is through dialogue and compromise."
