Shakhtar’s Mykhaylo Mudryk impresses with surging run and shot

The first half of Bologna’s UEFA Europa Conference League last-16 tie against Shakhtar Donetsk ended goalless on Thursday.

The Italian side had the better of the early chances, with Riccardo Orsolini seeing a shot saved by Anatolii Trubin and Musa Barrow heading wide from a good position.

Shakhtar grew into the game and began to create chances of their own, with Mykhaylo Mudryk impressing with a surging run and shot that was well saved by Lukasz Skorupski.

The Ukrainian side continued to press in the closing stages of the half, but they were unable to find a breakthrough, and the teams went into the break level.
