Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update Not Free for PS Plus Subscribers
PlayStation Plus users left out of the Fallout 4 next-gen update
Original Fallout 4 Release Nearly a Decade Ago
Players who acquired Fallout 4 through PlayStation Plus subscriptions are unable to download the next-gen update without paying. The next-gen upgrade for Fallout 4, the post-apocalyptic role-playing game, is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. The update was released on April 25th, 2023, nearly a decade after the game's original release.
Fallout 4's next-gen update includes enhanced graphics, improved performance, and additional content. The update also makes the game playable natively on PS5 and Xbox Series XS. However, PlayStation Plus subscribers who claimed Fallout 4 for free are reporting that they are unable to download the next-gen update without paying.
Bethesda, the publisher of Fallout 4, has yet to comment on the issue. It is unclear if the company intends to make the next-gen update free for PlayStation Plus subscribers in the future.
