Serpentine Pavilion 2013 by Sou Fujimoto: Official Opening and Public Unveiling

Public Access Granted to Anticipated Architectural Landmark

Fujimoto's Geometric Masterpiece Unveiled

On Thursday, the official opening of the Serpentine Pavilion by Sou Fujimoto marked a significant moment in London's cultural calendar. The unveiling of the 13th Serpentine Pavilion granted the public its first glimpse at Fujimoto's architectural masterpiece.

In a video captured by Dezeen at the unveiling, Fujimoto shared insights into his design process, highlighting the use of a rigid geometric grid to create a pavilion that is both ethereal and inviting. The architect's intention was to explore the relationship between nature and architecture, resulting in a structure that blurs the boundaries between interior and exterior.

Sou Fujimoto, the youngest architect to design a Serpentine Pavilion, has been recognized for his innovative designs and groundbreaking ideas. As the 13th and youngest pavilion designer at the age of 41, Fujimoto's creation remains open to the public until October 20, 2013.
