Early Life and Career

Alejandro Tabilo Álvarez, born on June 2, 1997, is a Chilean professional tennis player. He began playing tennis at the age of five and quickly showed promise. Tabilo turned professional in 2015 and has since made a name for himself on the ATP Tour.

Tabilo's breakthrough came in 2018 when he won the ATP Challenger Tour event in Santiago, Chile. This victory marked the first time a Chilean player had won a Challenger Tour event in over a decade. Tabilo continued to impress in 2019, reaching the semifinals of the ATP 250 event in Córdoba, Argentina.

Recent Success and Rankings

In 2024, Tabilo reached a career-high ranking of world No. 19 in singles. He achieved this ranking after winning the ATP 250 event in Santiago, Chile. This victory marked Tabilo's first ATP Tour title and made him the first Chilean player to win an ATP Tour event since Fernando González in 2009.

Tabilo's success has continued in 2023. He reached the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He also won the ATP Challenger Tour event in Concepción, Chile. Tabilo is currently ranked world No. 32 in singles.
